The real issue is that advanced AI detectors can now identify even carefully paraphrased and heavily refined AI-assisted text. These detectors continue to improve. Minimum wage policy remains a central question in labour economics, and our findings serve to underscore the multifaceted nature of its effects. Following the 2019 increase, we tracked a supermarket chain with 140 stores on both sides of a national border, where only one country raised its wage floor. Stores facing the higher wage hired fewer new workers over the following year (2.3% fewer than its stores across the border). However, it is important to note that their existing employees, now better paid, quit far less often, and overall employment remained remarkably resilient. These findings highlight the nuanced interplay between labour costs and workforce stability.

Our study of 140 branches of a supermarket chain across two countries found only modest changes in hiring after the 2019 minimum wage increase. The stores in the country that raised the minimum wage hired 2.3% fewer new workers, but — due to the higher wages they now received — this was offset by a decline in existing workers leaving.

How do you ensure the rewrite is not just paraphrasing?
I use a deliberate two-step process. First I reduce the original text to a series of bullet points that capture every idea, argument and piece of evidence. Then I rewrite the entire prose from those bullet points alone — without looking back at the original wording. The result is a genuine human reconstruction. It has no relation to AI and can never be detected as AI.
How is this different from the editing services journals recommend?
Those services edit your sentences: grammar, phrasing, flow. If the sentences were produced with AI, the edited version is still AI-assisted text, and detectors can still flag it. I don't edit your sentences. I write new ones from the notes.
Will the rewritten prose be better than my AI-edited article?
Not necessarily. Modern AI is excellent at producing smooth, sophisticated sentences. My rewrite will reach the clarity of advanced AI editors, but may not always match its smooth sophistication. The goal is a complete 100% human rewrite. Because the final text is written entirely by a human, it will never be detected as AI-generated or AI-edited.
Will your rewrite be the same length as the original?
It is likely to be shorter, as AI writing tends to be rather wordy. My own style tends to be fairly direct, and this also may shorten the length.
Can I see a sample before I commit?
Yes. Send 100 words and I will rewrite them free of charge.
Can I be sure it will be accepted by a journal?
Actually, no. Most of the weighting for acceptance comes from the depth of research. The quality of writing is important, but not as critical.
Do you provide an editing certificate?
Yes, on request: a signed statement that the prose was rewritten in full by a professional human editor. Some journals ask authors for an editing certificate; this serves the same purpose, and it says more.
Is this service ethical?
Yes. Completely. You have done the research and intellectual work. I provide a full human rewrite of the expression only.
Will you write an article if I give you the topic and general information?
No, that is another type of service. I don't add ideas or citations; I merely rewrite what you have already produced.
What if I need further rewriting after receiving the work?
Further rounds of rewriting are available at a discounted rate. I will continue refining the text until you are fully satisfied.
Would I be able to use AI to edit your final prose?
Yes, but that runs the risk of being flagged as AI. On the other hand, you can of course rewrite in your own style.
Is it useful for me to use your rewrite as a basis and then continue the rewrite myself?
Yes. This is the way to ensure that the expression is exactly how you want it. It will also help your own writing to improve.
Can you edit a draft written without any AI assistance?
Yes. The same complete human rewrite approach applies.
I wrote some of the work and used AI for some. Can I just ask you to rewrite the AI-produced parts?

Do you work on novels or other creative writing?
